The 2011 Westinghouse University Conference Video Recap

When Westinghouse Electric Company launched the Westinghouse University in early 2010 it utilized video as a key way to communicate to employees across all of Westinghouse the importance of the University to their own professional growth, as well as to the company’s global growth.

In February of 2011, when it came time to communicate the state of affairs of the University, Westinghouse again turned to video and On Motion Media to document a four-day Westinghouse University event, which was held in Cranberry Township, just north of Pittsburgh.

Pittsburgh-based On Motion Media’s video production team of a videographer, audio technician and producer videotaped the corporate conference for four consecutive days. The immediate result was an exciting instant video recap of the event, which played to a pleasantly surprised group of attendees on the last full day of the conference.

After the conference ended, a longer version of the recap video and speeches in their entirety were edited together by On Motion Media’s editing team. These video elements were placed on the Internet providing all those who could not attend the opportunity to see for themselves what had taken place. And for those who had attended the conference, the videos provided an opportunity to revisit the information and deepen their understanding of what they had experienced.
